Christian

Being a Christian is being a follower of Christ. What separates a Christian from a normal person is hope, joy, peace & love! We are spirits on a human journey. We are not any better than the next person, we just seek to be like Christ. A Christian is not exempt from hurt, pain or ugliness. We simply desire to leave those things in our past. I say all these things because Christians are misunderstood and many people miss the purpose if being a Christian. I've been in church all my life, literally since birth. I decided at 8 years old that I wanted to dedicate my life to living for God. And I understood what that meant, as a child. But I am a American young woman and I desire to have fun, shop, talk about guys lol and all that. The difference is I do not put anything or anyone above God. It's a life long struggle & I have made numerous mistakes. But I get back up & try again...I always get back up. I know that NOTHING can make God give up on me, or stop him from loving me. So, I never give up on him. It's a blessing to say that my father, my best friend, my provider, my doctor, my joy, my motivation are all encompassed into God.
Many days you think about what he does for you & you know that you did nothing to deserve him. That's why I dedicated my life to him. That's why I praise him daily.
On social media sites, you may see people talk about Jesus & you think...hmm they arnt really a Christian but I'm here to tell you that being a Christian does not mean perfection. It means they make mistakes & pray to God to keep you from continuing in them. Christians always aspire to be more than who they are now. We've committed to a life long growth process that is not easy. And we have accepted Gods love and his blessings. We have experienced him first hand in a way that nothing or no one can ever deny. We've seen people who were completely beat down, get up & do great things after accepting God & his son Jesus into their lives forever.
My purpose in saying all this is to bring understanding. You do not need to be perfect to become a Christian, you simply have to invite God to become your sole purpose for living. You have to give over your way, for his way. You have to choose love over anything else. You have to decide that you want to live forever with him. It's a beautiful experience that I hope everyone partakes in! Love you all :-)

I found a soul that connects so freely to my own & its been worth the wait. I truly see that our possibilities are endless. It's a burden to carry, knowing all of our potential, so for now I take the greatness step by step...
