Patient Love

My patient love....
I waited on you. I refused to settle for less than you, my patient love...
Ive encountered imitators, but none could compare.
In the recent past I thought I found you... but now that you've found me I see that I was so wrong..
You've awakended something in me. I praise God daily for you...
You, my patient love...
I've finally found you. Forever we begin ....
Je'adore ;-)

How Grateful

How grateful she must be...How honored she must have felt to be choosen as the vessel God chose to bring the greatest man into the world. How humbling, how nervous Mary must have felt. Just a humble young virgin waiting to get married. Its amazing how God moves. He will use whomever he chooses to get his work completed.
How loving Mary must have been to her son knowing he was the son of God. He was the embodiment of love, grace, patience, and joy! Everyday Mary saw her son, she knew she was looking at the Savior of all mankind. What a great experience. Even when it was sad & confusing....it was all a part of His master plan. A part of the Mater's Plan.
There's a great lesson for us all to learn in the story of Jesus, Mary & God. It's applicable to our everyday lives. Mary had to trust & submit herself and her plan to God's. He blessed her with a son but he was really God's son. She had to put her desires aside for God's plan. She had to say ...God, I don't know what you are doing but I will trust you. Thank you for giving me this wonderful task of carrying this child into the world. I will raise him as my own knowing that he is yours and he is on a mission. I will put aside my plans for my son & be obedient to you. I will call him Jesus as you've told me to. I will put aside my professional plans for him & I will allow you to shape him into the Savior. I do not like how they mistreat my son but I know you are covering him. I want to tell him to stop spreading your word because it is creating great danger for his life. But I trust you God...have your way.

I know Mary felt all of this, just as we feel pain, confusion, frustration and helpless in our daily lives. But we each were given an assignment by God. We each have a promise God has given us. We must trust Him no matter what. We each have a pregnancy period, a delivery period and a parenting period of our gifts. Like Mary carried Jesus in her belly, you carry your God given gift in yours. Trust Him to help you throughout completing your purpose.

Christmas?!

I was driving to church yesterday thinking about Christmas. Most American's favorite holiday. I was thinking about how disrespectful it is to refer to it as Xmas. Like could you imagine someone referring to your bday as xday? Especially referring to the bday of Jesus. The man who died for you.
When I got to church, our pastor preached about how we have left Jesus out of Christmas. It's so sad, so disrespectful. I don't think people really get it and that's my motivation for this post.
Christmas is not about giving or recieving gifts. Cooking huge meals or even being with your family. That is all lovely, but if you are not spending the day celebrating Jesus.. there is no point. So let's just remember that this whole holiday is about Jesus, not you or your children. Actually the best gift you can give to your kids, is the knowledge of Christ :-) spend some time having them celebrate Him!
My aunt used to have her kids make a birthday cake for Jesus. That was awesome & really got the point across. I'm def going to do that when I have children.
Hope you all enjoy your holiday season! Love you :-)
